Create Your Own Opportunities
Are you from a company looking to hire an intern?
If your organization (co-op, credit union, not-for-profit, other business) is looking for a recent graduate to join your team and is willing to mentor a young person who has the education but not the resume experience, consider hiring an intern!
Host organizations will have the chance to review resumes and interview interns before making any commitments to the program. Should the intern be a match, the host will receive a salary subsidy for the intern’s 16-week placement and will have support from our Project Manager throughout the program.

Are you a recent post-secondary graduate wanting to gain experience through an internship?
Our Project Manager, Dianne Fortin has met hundreds of graduates over the years and loves meeting new and interesting people all over the province. From Peace River in the north to Cardston in the south and everywhere in between, our goal with the Career Focus Internship Program is to pair up post-secondary grads with potential hosts and employers who will give them the experience they need to kick start their career. If you’re 30 years of age or younger, a graduate with a degree, diploma or certificate, are eligible to work in Canada, and have not previously utilized federal funding such as employment insurance, than you could be eligible for this program.
If you want to be an intern with our program, we put the focus on you – what’s your background in, what interests you and what do you want to do? We’ve placed interns in all different fields, from historical interpreters to accountants, we work one-on-one with potential participants to find a host organization who can mentor you and offer you a paid placement for 16 weeks.

Since 2008 we’ve been running the Career Focus Internship Program, matching interns with host organizations for 16-weeks of paid, full-time, work.
If you’re a recent post-secondary grad and you’ve got a certificate, diploma or degree, we should talk about the internship opportunities available to you!
