3 Co-operatives Make ‘Alberta’s Top 75 Employers’ List for 2019

What do Calgary Co-op, Credit Union Central of Alberta and UFA Co-operative Ltd. all have in common? They offer exceptional, progressive places to work and are proponents of engaged employees. They are also recognized exactly for that in the illustrious ‘Alberta’s Top 75 Employers 2019’ list.
Now in its 14th year, the editorial competition run by Mediacorp evaluates employers across Alberta on a set of criteria including:

Co-ops are renowned for looking after their employees and in return are rewarded with the loyalty of 4,500 combined employees, some which have served for as long as 49 years. Highlights from their inclusion include Calgary Co-op offering employee who are new mothers with maternity leave top-up payments up to 100% of salary for up to 12 weeks; Alberta Central providing free access to fitness facilities and fresh fruit deliveries to the office week and UFA recently hosting a wellness fair to raise awareness and educate employees on a variety of health-related topics.
