Internship Opportunity: Communications Officer

The Alberta Community and Co-operative Association (ACCA) is seeking a recent post-secondary graduate[1] to develop online and print marketing materials for an upcoming conference and ongoing ACCA communications activities.

The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, is eager to learn, and has creative problem-solving skills. Experience in graphic design, marketing, communications, and web-design (such as Square Space or similar programs) are key.

Duties:

  • Design, write and graphically develop the marketing material for the 2018 Gathering of Alberta Co-op conference which includes social media messaging.
  • In consultation with the ACCA staff, develop, enhance and maintain the ACCA website ensuring that all d program areas of the website are accurate and up to date.
  •  Teach ACCA staff how to manage and update web content and social media

Contract Terms:

The internship will be 10 weeks of employed by Tuesday, May 22. The internship must be completed by July 27, 2018. This position will be full time, Monday to Friday for 35 hours per week.

Salary: $20.00/hour

Location

The internship will take place in either ACCA’s Stony Plain or Calgary offices.

About the Internship

The purpose of this internship is to provide recent graduates with relevant job experience and training to get started in their field. Along with job experience interns will also have access to a mentor and training opportunities.
