Staff Planning weekend 2018 will take place from April 27 to 29 at the Goldeye Centre just west of Nordegg, AB.
Our Co-operative Youth Leadership Program has been running for nearly sixty years thanks to the dedication of volunteers from across the province.
Our volunteer application process will open in
Did you know, that the Co-operative Youth Leadership Program also helps professional development in adults? They too get to work on many skills such as planning & facilitating sessions, public speaking, team building, communication, leadership, conflict management, as well as share their knowledge and passion about the co-operative, credit union & agricultural sector. Our Volunteer Staff come from a variety of backgrounds- co-operative employees, teachers, social workers, photographers, students & alumni! These Volunteer Staff are a vital part in shaping what the youth program is, getting these youth excited about joining co-operatives, credit unions & agricultural organizations in their communities and teaching them that getting involved in your community and local co-operatives is a great way of life.

Once a volunteer has been accepted into the program, they must pass a criminal record check, have current first aid level C certification, and be available for on-site training at the Goldeye Centre from Friday, April 27 to Sunday, April 29, 2018.
In 2017, 44 volunteers gave more than 6,160 hours to our youth program through their prep and staff time at our week-long programs. What’s more impressive than that? The fact that each and every person involved gave their absolute best in to the youth participants in each and every one of those hours.
