Corinne Remple
Born in the prairies, raised on the West Coast, and married to an Albertan, Corinne Remple bridges communities and perspectives by always seeking the "gold" in the people and moments she encounters. With deep roots in the nonprofit sector and experience as a business owner, transitioning to the co-op movement was a natural progression. Her passion for co-operatives, combined with a talent for advocacy and storytelling, has made her an enthusiastic champion of the movement. There is so much to share, and she is particularly passionate about the opportunities co-ops provide to empower people and transform economies.
Determination, creativity, and collaboration are central to Corinne's work. She focuses on opportunities to strengthen and promote the co-operative sector. This commitment shines through in her leadership and dedication to the co-operative model as a powerful tool for positive transformation.

Naushad Velani
Naushad was born and raised in India and immigrated to Canada in the summer of 2013. At the age of eight, he was sent to a boarding school, where he learned values of teamwork, integrity, and how to help others. Naushad grew up in a housing co-operative society, which is where he was introduced to membership-based living and financial services. Before coming to the ACCA Naushad worked for the Northern Alberta Co-operative Housing Association and its subsidiary Casa Housing Services, which focused on providing affordable property management services to housing co-operatives in Edmonton. Outside of work Naushad volunteers for the Aga Khan Foundation of Canada and is pursuing his dream of becoming a CPA.
Lacey Chyz
Lacey is a born-and-raised rural Albertan whose co-operative career has taken her from eastern Africa to the Arctic. She’s worked with co-ops and credit unions at the grassroots, provincial, pan-territorial and national level. Lacey is a strategic facilitator of co-operation among co-ops and member engagement. In 2016, Co-operatives and Mutuals Canada (CMC) named her Canada’s Emerging Co-operator of the Year. She is also a 2024 Co-operators Young Leader Award winner.
When she’s not consulting as a co-op development partner, she can be found volunteering on the board of her local credit union and chairing the economic development advisory committee for her municipality.
We are happy to have contracted Lacey to support ACCA!
