ACCA government relations gaining traction in health, municipal government
ACCA is looking to raise its profile with all levels of government, with a focus on the Alberta provincial government, to advance the co-operative model and its value proposition as a solution to address unmet social and economic needs in Alberta.
Our activities to date have been to connect on key issues outlined in the Government of Alberta’s MacKinnon Report and the provincial budget. ACCA has already met with Alberta Municipal Affairs, the Alberta Urban Municipalities Association (AUMA) and the Rural Municipalities of Alberta (RMA) to discuss how the co-operative model can be used to address rural municipal issues. ACCA is also meeting with the Minister of Health to discuss health care alternatives that can be offered through the co-operative model.
You can review our submissions on these topics on the Government Relations page of our website.
