Save the dates for 2020 Gathering

Due to COVID-19 restrictions and so many unknowns for what the outbreak will look like this fall, the 2020 Gathering is going to look quite a bit different.

The virtual event will start Tuesday, October 13, at 9:00 a.m., with the ACCA AGM postponed from earlier this year.  The afternoon will include a virtual “Hike the Legislature,” a series of meetings between the ACCA Board and members of government to discuss key issues and opportunities for co-operatives in Alberta’s economic recovery. While not open to the general membership, these meetings will play an important part of our government relations activities in support of our members.

The spotlight event will take place Wednesday, October 14, from 10 a.m. to noon, and will be the COVID-19 and Co-ops: Strategic Foresight presentation from the Co-operative Intelligence Unit.  This session will start with an overview of the strategic foresight paper written by members of the CIU. Participants can then go into separate virtual “rooms” to engage in deeper discussions on specific topics of interest. These breakout rooms will be hosted by the authors and ACCA, who will be collecting participant feedback and answers to specific thought-provoking questions we will be circulating in advance.

Registration for the 2020 Gathering will open soon - watch for more details in our September newsletter!
