Event Summary

The event started on November 1 with the Opening Reception, sponsored by ACCESS, where attendees mixed and mingled (and enjoyed some home-grown musical entertainment!) in a casual and relaxed setting. The first session of the Gathering 2022 was held on an unexpectantly snowy Wednesday and included presentations on Local Investment Solutions, ACCESS Shared Services, and panels discussing Women in Leadership and Government Relations.

Later we walked across the hall at the Matrix Hotel to the Amber ballroom for the Elected Officials Reception and Co-op Awards, sponsored by the Co-operators, where we celebrated the outstanding achievements in the field and networked with one another and the elected officials in attendance. On Tuesday, following the breakout presentations, we gathered once again to discuss how to make Western Canada the best place on earth for cooperative businesses and collaboratively brainstormed suggestions that will become part of ACCA’s Strategic Plan.
